Closed Water Systems Training Course
WTS 0060 “Treatment for Closed System Heating & Cooling Water Circuits” is an intensive one day closed systems training course developed by the industrial and process water treatment specialists at WTS. The course is designed for facilities managers, water treatment service engineers, maintenance and engineering contractors, plant operators, and those with responsibility for the installation, pre-commissioning, maintenance and on-going management of commercial and industrial closed water systems used in heating, chilled and cooling water installations.
WTS 0060 provides a review of typical closed water systems including low pressure hot water (LPHW) and low temperature hot water (LTHW) systems, medium pressure hot water (MPHW) and medium temperature hot water (MTHW) systems, chilled water systems, closed loops, condenser water (closed) systems, and Versatemp loop – circuit systems. Candidates taking this course will gain an understanding of the issues that affect the performance of closed water systems including metallic corrosion, fouling, bio-fouling and scale, and how best to deal with them.
Additionally, the course also covers a number of practical examples, including how to conduct basic fault-finding investigations and the development of cost effective closed system water treatment solutions.
